Mt. Aratani 2009

Mt. Aratani is located in the northern end of Hiroshima City, not so far from downtown of Hiroshima. Geometrical location is southern end of Miyoshi Basin where is famous for sea of fog in autumn morning, therefore we can watch sea of fog there.
I've visited there 4 times in 2009 autumn including overnight photo shooting. Scene of fog with the sunrise is of course dramatic, but midnight scene with fog is also impressive.

Part 1: Overnight sceneries
I've been at the top of Mt. Aratani from 1 o'clock in the night through 7 o'clock in the morning on October 11, 2009. Half-moon was in the sky and lit mountains and sea of fog all night long, then I could take those photos below. Moon light and long exposure makes photos fantastic.

Part 2: In other days
Many photos below are similar to some in the above gallery because all are taken in the identical location. But I make a separate gallery because, if I combined together it would be confusing for you to understand how scenery alters as time goes by.
Photo of 13 looks like something in a daytime but actually it's moonset before daybreak. If there are appropriate amount of cloud in the sky at the daybreak, then we can enjoy full of tinted sky and take photos like 17-19.
