Spring Scenery Gallery 2005

I've been to Yawata Highland in northern part of Hiroshima Prefecture in 2005 spring, as was the case in 2003 and 2004. There were gentle light and hazy scenery in the rainy morning, and I chose Kodak film rather than Fuji to enhance gentleness and naturalness of the scenery in Yawata.

1. Toward the Sky
These three photos are taken with a diagonal fisheye lens of Sigma, to enhance energy of the tree toward the sky. To ensure right exposure and depth of field, I set shutter speed, aperture value and focus ring position all manually.

2. Mysteries and Poems

These 6 photos are taken with Kodak Ektachrome E100VS, whose character drastically changes between before and after sunrise. The first 3 were taken before sunrise and the scenery reproduced in purple with mysterious feel, and the later 3 after sunrise with vivid and cheerful colors like a world in a poem.

3. Subtle and Profound

The less color has a photograph, the more you may feel colors in your mind. The less contrast has a photograph, the more you may feel depth of space. I wanted to draw delicate flavor of fresh verdure and spring wind on the films with my best technique.
The last two photos are for your reference of comparison between the films, natural and gentle Kodak Ektachrome 100 Plus Pro and very profound Kodachrome 64 Pro.
