Spring Scenery Gallery 2006

I visited Yawata High-Land in 2006 spring several times, however, I could not enjoy fantastic scenery with fog, rain and verdure. Still I took many photos there in every occasions, thus I would like to show you some of them as a kind of epic of Japanese spring.

Prologue
The end of cherry blossom season is
the start of season of fresh verdure.

Before Budbreaks
It was very chilly in Yawata High-Land in early May, and there was no bud breaking into fresh green leaves yet. Yawata was covered with dense fog when I visited there.

Fresh Verdure of Spring
Photos of fresh verdure of white birch and beech trees. Though I expected dense fog and rain so that the scenery became graceful, but it was fine days when I visited there in the season of fresh verdure.

Morning Fog and Morning Dew
One day morning, it was a fine day but fog came to Yawata High-Land for a while. After fog was disappeared, plenty of morning dew remained on the leaves. I took photos of fog and morning dews in the oblique sunlight.

Deep Green
Season of fresh verdure is very short, maybe only two weeks at most. After that all leaves get colored in deep green so that they can welcome hot summer with full of sunshine. Can you imagine the first photo below was taken just three weeks after the last photo of the section "Before Budbreaks"?
