Cherry Blossom 2002

Silence of Weeping Cherry
I think weeping cherry has special gracefulness or modesty when compared with other kinds of cherry trees.  I've visited three weeping cherry trees in 2002 spring, and I selected the below 12 photos in which I feel weeping cherry's unique beauty.
Weeping Cherry in Yuki-town, Hiroshima Prefecture
The famous Yuki's weeping cherry tree in the moon light.  Thanks to unique color character of E100VS which reproduces objects in deep blue under the moonlight, the tree looks magnificent.
This photo was impressed me best among 2002 cherry tree photos.  Numbers of graceful flowers are floating in the deep blue background.
This is taken at the identical angle with the first one, but the day was breaking and pale pink, the true color of the flowers, was emerging.  The tree looks humble thanks to light blue background.
I think this is a typical photo in which a weeping cherry tree looks most graceful.  I imagined a beautiful and modest lady was dancing silently yet expressively.
A whole view of the famous and graceful Yuki's weeping cherry tree.  Very noble
In the daytime a weeping cherry expresses their character somewhat different from that in the morning.  But strong sunshine does not fit to her gracefulness.  I therefore took this photo under cloudy light condition.

Weeping Cherry in Yamagatagun, Hiroshima Prefecture
The famous Yuki's cherry would be likened to a noblewoman.  This unknown weeping cherry, on the contrary, would be likened to a very normal, but yet beautiful and modest lady.  The day I took this photo was cloudy with a light rain, then the cherry blossoms are reproduced in pale white.
In-between a light rains, slight sunshine lit the lovely flowers.
I took photos from my best favorite angle as a matter of course.  It looks much more modest than Yuki's cherry, thanks to pale white flowers.
The best angle of a weeping cherry tree differs by each tree.  I found out this angle in tree hours communications with the tree.  It looks like a lady fluttering her skirt in the wind.

Weeping Cherry in Kikko Park, Yamaguchi Prefecture
A scene in a dream, I think.  This cherry itself is well shaped but there are many uncomfortable objects around the trees. Therefore it was difficult for me to take photos in good composition.  So I utilized Kenko MC85.
Another imagery photo of the weeping cherry reproduced on Kodak Ektachrome 64T film.
