Macro Photos I intended portraits of cherry blossoms with these 5 photos. They were taken in Hijiyama-park and Takamagahara-park near my house (in Hiroshima city). I understand well about the condition of flowers there because I've been there every year. So I could easily find out good flowers for models of portrait.
Yuki's Weeping Cherry 2005 This cherry blossom tree stands in between houses and personal garden field, and therefore the photo taking position where no human-made object disturbs the whole view of the cherry tree is available only for one or two cameramen while hundreds of cameramen surround the tree in the flower season. I tried many compositions, angles to take this tree in the past but the results looked not so good. So I decided to fix composition and standing position for photo taking this year, instead, to take photos under various light conditions. These photos indicate that the selection of the light condition is one of the essence of photography, I think.
