Cherry Blossom 2006 (part2)

Nagazo's Weeping Cherry

This weeping cherry tree stands at Nagazo of Kita-Hiroshima town, far north-western part of Hiroshima prefecture. Age of the tree is estimated at 420 years old, and appearance of the tree is quite subtle and profound which should be available only after living long years with severe nature.
It was rain when I visited there and I could not take photos in various angles, as the area was very muddy with rain, but very dense fog had come there and you'll find subtle photos something like a chinese black ink painting.

1. Overall view of the tree. It stands in a small valley.  2. This may be an usual composition for photos of the tree. 3. With closer view you'll find how the tree looks profound.
4. Dense fog has come and the scenery suddenly changed to black and white world.  5. I took photos with plenty of white space around the main subject. This should be good for making folding screen with chinese poem. 6. Fog was disappearing and the background was appearing. I intended subtle balance between the tree and background with this composition.
