Cherry Blossom 2008 Part 2 (Weeping Cherry in Yuki and Nagazo)

I visit Yuki and Nagazo every year to take photos of weeping cherry blooming there. "Yuki" is located at Yunoyama-Spring in Yuki town, Saiki, Hiroshima-City. I visited there twice and first day was rainy and gave us fantastic scenery with fogs. Second day was tenderly fine day and somewhat too normal for me but I tried to make impressive photos by utilizing various light conditions since dark in the morning.
Nagazo is located in northern part of Hiroshima prefecture and the weeping cherry is 420 years old. She is very old but still she gives us noble style in blossom season. The day I visited there was cloudy day and not so good for photography. Again I tried to take impressive photos since dark in very early morning.

Yuki's Weeping Cherry - Fantasy in the rain -

The first 9 photos are taken in a rainy morning and there was fog in the back of the tree. Scenery with fog was quite fantastic and I could enjoy taking photos whole through the morning. These photos are very satisfactory and my special favorites.

Yuki's Weeping Cherry -In a spring morning-

Second day was fine. This means I could not enjoy fog or other fantastic nature effects. I, however, started to take photos in the dark and could get impressive photos. First photo is one of my best favorite that was reproduced by long exposure and it looks blossoms are shining with slight ambient light of dawn. Following 2 photos were also taken in early morning and look noble with purple tone.
From 4th to the last photos were taken after sunrise and color rendering is quite normal and vivid. I hope you'll feel warmness of spring morning from the images.

Nagazo's Weeping Cherry -Expression of the old lady-

Nagazo's weeping cherry is 420 yeas old and stand nobly in a hill. I again stared to take photos in the dark and got several impressive photos shown here. First 2 photos were taken by very long exposure (3 minutes and 8 minutes respectively) and the lady emerges on the film in blue. When I took 3rd photo with long exposure, a car came here and lit the tree by head light. I suddenly stopped exposure to avoid over-exposure and got this image. 4th and 5th photos are expression of the tree in cloudy light and slight sunshine respectively. Last photo was taken at the side of the tree. It looks like she is performing Japanese traditional dance by widely stretching both arms.
