Dogtooth Violet or "Katakuri"

Photos of Dogtooth Violet taken in 2010 spring are exhibit here. The week end when the flowers were full in bloom was rainy and I could not take photos since Dogtooth Violet blooms only in a fine day. Photos here are taken a week before full bloom and therefore I could find small number of flowers. I took photos of same flower from various point of view.

Portrait

Those 11 photos were taken aiming at portraits of Dogtooth Violet. I utilize very shallow depth of field made by Tamron SP-AF180mm F3.5 or Voigtraender MACRO APO-LANTAR 125mm F2.5SL at close distance and wide open to make pictures gentle and noble.

uneasy or impatient

Unlike the english name of "Dogtooth Violet", all Japanese regard this flower as one of the most pretty and charming flowers and gave flower language of "First Love". Therefore most cameramen take photos as beautiful as possible, like those in the above session. I took antithetical photos too and exhibited here. My aim with those photos is to express feel of uneasy or impatient.
