It was very cold day when I went out for photo taking of the
flowers. It was minus 6 degrees C or 22 degrees F and we had a snow in
the morning. So the flowers were blooming in the snow, with which the flowers
looked like wearing on bridal veil.
Though I made a brief explanation of the flowers in 2000-2002 Gallery,
I would do again for your convenience. This flower is called "Setsubun-so"
in Japan. "Setsubun" is February 3rd and is regarded as the beginning of
spring. "so" means grass in Japanese. This flower is in bloom around "Setsubun"
and therefore the name "Setsubun-so" was given.
The flower is very small, 3-5cm in height and 2cm in flower diameter,
and I had to place my camera on the snowy ground to take photos here.
